We are seeking a Head of Discipline who will guide our efforts in within the coastal area. We are a growing group of specialists working alongside our customers on some of Denmark's biggest and most innovative projects. Our new Head of Discipline will set the direction for our Coastal group located in Lyngby and work closely together with our coastal and marine group located in Aalborg. We deliver various Coastal projects including met-ocean studies, coastal numerical modelling, design of breakwaters, erosion designs etc.
You will refer directly to the VP, Head of Engineering, René Muff Thomsen, and work closely with him and the other Heads of Disciplines in the Department Special Disciplines, to secure growth and development for your employees and for the area.
Your key responsibilities will be:

- Day-to-day people management of 15+ staff
- Executing the department action plan
- Setting clear targets for performance and development of your section's employees, including onboarding activities and individual development plans
- Manage project teams to great completion of projects
- Deliver technical knowledge and project management on projects
- Provide support and feedback to your staff
- Contribute to the growth of the Coastal pipeline through effective customer dialogue

- M.Sc. in Civil engineering and have 10+ years of relevant consultancy experience
- Extensive knowledge in Coastal Engineering or coastal numerical modelling (waves, flows and hydrodynamics, sediment transport), design of breakwaters, coastal protection etc.
- Significant experience in managing and designing coastal structures, hydraulic structures and climate adaptation
- Good insight in overseeing teams and project management skills on a high level
- Proficient interpersonal abilities and technical skills
- Communication skills in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian)
