FERCHAU Poland is looking for an Electrical Coordination Engineer responsible for coordinating low-voltage (LV) electrical matters during construction and/or repair of marine vessels. The role involves coordinating activities with designers, clients, suppliers, and classification societies to ensure that all electrical solutions comply with applicable standards and technical requirements.

The position may involve occasional business travel to clients and suppliers, though most of the work is performed in the office (approximately 90%).
LV Electrical Coordination Engineer - Shipbuilding (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
  • Coordination of low-voltage (LV) electrical installation projects (switchboards, lighting, control systems, etc.) during ship construction or refurbishment
  • Participation in coordination meetings with investors, designers, and other stakeholders
  • Supervision of project execution
  • Review of project and technical documentation to ensure compliance with maritime industry regulations
  • Coordination of technical and working documentation workflows
  • Collaboration with equipment suppliers and design departments
  • Participation in inspections, tests, and commissioning of LV systems
  • Selection of materials and equipment required for LV electrical installations on ships

Your profile
  • Higher technical education (Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a role related to low-voltage (LV) electrical coordination, preferably in offshore substation projects
  • Experience working with project documentation and basic tools for its review (e.g., PDF, Excel)
  • Knowledge of classification standards and maritime industry requirements (DNV, ABS, BV, etc.)
  • Familiarity with selection of appropriate materials and equipment for LV electrical installations in shipbuilding projects
  • Good command of English, enabling fluent technical communication both verbally and in writing
  • Strong teamwork skills, good communication, and organizational abilities
