KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Supervise and coordinate vessel maintenance, repair, and operation.
- Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Manage resources and budgets to support cost-effective marine operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to vessel crews to promote a culture of safety and professionalism.
- Conduct inspections and audits to assess vessel condition and compliance with safety standards.
- Handle emergencies and incidents that may arise during vessel operations effectively.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Engineering qualification
- Previous experience working in a marine-related role, preferably as a Marine Superintendent or in a similar capacity.
