About the Role:

Reporting to the Marine Manage within the Warehousing, Inventory, and Logistics (Australia) function, you will support the delivery of Australian offshore vessel operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. Success in this role requires excellent autonomous work in an operational environment, a readiness to be the primary contact point for diverse internal and external stakeholders, and a commitment to continuous improvement and challenging 'the way it's always been done. Also, you will promote marine operations excellence through visible safety leadership and active contract management.

The role is based in Perth, Western Australia and includes requirements for regional domestic travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assessing and advising on the suitability of specific offshore vessels and berth facilities for the work scopes required by various business units.
• Identifying and executing vessel contracting strategies to leverage opportunities for synergies between demand sources from internal sources.
• Monitoring and managing vessel performance during charter periods.
• Collaborating with Contracting & Procurement to optimise both commercial and operational outcomes in Woodside's chartering activities.
• Manage relationships with vessel providers as a Woodside company representative.
• Leveraging contractor relationships and data within the vessel charter market to maintain accurate insights into vessel availability and market rates.
• Using data effectively for decision-making in the marine operations context, thereby achieving high vessel utilisation and outstanding HS performance.
• Driving safety leadership by consistently engaging with the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Function, aiming for world-class Health and Safety performance.
• Engaging with internal stakeholders to achieve industry-leading outcomes in terms of optimised vessel utilisation and risk mitigation.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry regulatory changes and engaging with regulators or industry groups as needed to influence changes in Woodside's favour.

Skills & Experience:
• Understanding of supply chain principles.
• Experience in applying continuous improvement methods and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to adopt best practices into the Woodside operating environment.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage change across various stakeholder groups.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preparing and delivering professional presentations to large groups.
• Ability to influence others to deliver business outcomes.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
• Experience as a Vessel Manager or Fleet Manager, working in offshore oil and gas operations.
• Experience in emergency/ incident management.
• Experience in marine chartering and contracting.
• Experience in marine assurance activities including company and vessel audits.
• Current or past qualification as senior Deck Officer (Master/ Chief Officer) or senior Engineering Officer (Chief Engineer/ 1st Engineer)
• DP Unlimited Qualification with operational experience
• Tertiary degree in business, management or commerce
• SAP 4 Hana experience preferred.
• Kabal experience preferred
