We're recruiting a Marine Superintendent for one of our clients, who is a well-known marine organization based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), or provide support to the DPA, for assigned vessels while ensuring the effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Monitor and audit vessel navigation, passage planning, and bridge procedures to maintain the highest standards of navigational safety
- Conduct regular vessel visits and inspections to assess compliance and operational performance
- Ensure vessels meet all international, flag state, port state, and class requirements, including SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM, ISPS, and MLC regulations
- Lead preparations for external inspections-such as PSC, SIRE, CDI, Flag, and Vetting-and manage all follow-up actions
- Identify training requirements and coordinate both mandatory and developmental training for nautical personnel
- Monitor vessel voyage performance, including speed, fuel consumption (bunker management), and port turnaround efficiency
- Master Mariner (Class 1) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 5 years of sea-going experience as Master on relevant vessel types (e.g., tankers, bulk carriers, container vessels)
- At least 3 years of experience in a shore-based marine superintendent or equivalent role; DPA experience is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and compliance requirements
- Extensive practical experience in cargo operations, navigation, and bridge resource management
- Proven experience handling vetting inspections (SIRE, CDI, RightShip) and Port State Control matters
