Job Responsibilities :

1. Assist the DPA for Safety Management requirement as per the ISM code.

2. Prepare audit schedule for vessels and tugs.

3. Carry out audits as per schedule.

4. Liaise with statutory authorities like GMB, MMD, DGS, Customs, Ministry of Telecommunication etc for various audits, surveys, certification & Licensing of shipping office, Port office and vessels.

5. Liaise with various statutory authorities as listed above for scheduling of audits, surveys and inspections.

6. Carry out yearly audit/inspection of RPS-manning agent.

7. To maintain records of and analyse various incidents and near misses and to carry out investigation, if required, to find root cause of the incident and recommend action with the help of the DPA.

8. He shall report to the DPA.

Education Requirement :

1. Graduates with Port Management degree

2. CoC Second Mate (FG) or

3. CoC Motor Class IV or

4. COP 2 nd Class or RTG or GMDSS (GOC)
Experience Requirement :

• Minimum 5 yr experience of working in a Port/shipping company in its Safety and Quality Cell in a supportive role to the Head/Deputy head of the S&Q cell.
• Graduates with Port Management degree and 3 year of minimum experience may also apply.

Skills & Competencies :

1. Knowledge of Marine operations

2. Knowledge of the International Safety Management System as stipulated by IMO.

3. Lead Auditor for ISM & IMS

4. Internal auditor for ISM & IMS.

5. Thorough working knowledge of computers, English & Hindi.
