Marine Superintendent/SQE Auditor for Bulk Carriers

About us

Due to the expansion of our fleet we are actively seeking for an experienced Marine Superintendent /SQE Auditor for Bulk Carriers/SQE Auditor

You will ensure the compliance of vessels and office with the standards and authorities through regular audits and reviews with guidance

As a part of your role, you will:

• Organize and implement a plan of internal audits within the Company's operation, analyzing and reporting findings
• Ensure that findings of 3rd Party Audits are properly attended to, closed and reports analysis
• Ensure full investigations of all accidents and dangerous occurrences, prepare periodic evaluation of such occurrences and prepares relevant reports
• Monitor third party inspections and closings of defects for the Fleet assigned
• Evaluate crew o/b

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have

• Degree in Merchant Maritime Academy Shipping or Marine Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within an HSQE department
• Experience in Bulk Carriers
• Familiarity with Shipping industry regulatory framework as well as standards ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO14001, ISO45000
• Experience with the entire vetting process of Bulk Carriers
• Computer literacy, (experience with Danaos Software will be considered as an additional asset)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Efficiency in troubleshooting, organizing skills, attention to detail
• Availability for travelling
