Job Description

The Marine Surveyor supports Six Construct's marine construction activities - such as jetty, piling, and load-out facility works - by providing accurate surveying, inspection, and positional control for all offshore and nearshore structures. He/ She ensures that all works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and marine construction requirements. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in bathymetric surveys, barge positioning, and excavator positioning systems, and demonstrate a strong willingness to grow in more advanced survey technologies.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
  • Conduct and support bathymetric and topographic surveys for marine and coastal projects.
  • Assist in barge and excavator positioning operations using GNSS and related systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality control, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Work closely with the project and site teams to support daily construction and dredging activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of survey reports, drawings, and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Brings 5 to10 years of proven expertise in marine surveying within complex marine environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Geomatics, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in hydrographic surveying or offshore operations is preferred.
  • Initial knowledge of bathymetric surveys, barge positioning, and excavator positioning systems.
  • Familiarity with hydrographic and positioning equipment and software (e.g., GPS/GNSS, total stations, dredge monitoring systems).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in offshore and coastal environments.
  • Strong reporting, communication, and independent work capabilities.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
