We are looking for a Offshore Superintendent to join Installation Department in Milan HQ.
Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sites
This part of the role covers the operative execution on all marine installation sites activities for the implementation of a Project.
Tasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, purchasing with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian.

We are looking for a Offshore Superintendent to join Installation Department in Milan HQ.
Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sites

- Preliminary Works: Route clearance, pre-lay burial runs, and vessel mobilization.
- Cable Operations: Loading, laying, burial, pulling through conduits or onto platforms, repair, and jointing.
- Technical/Quality Management: Ensuring compliance with specifications and project documentation.
- Health and Safety: Ensuring safety for all personnel and reporting to the installation team.
- Environmental Compliance: Adhering to policies to preserve the environment and prevent pollution.
- Asset Care: Verifying and maintaining all assets, including vessels and installation equipment.
- Installation Assets: Defining, selecting, and preparing installation assets.
- Project Constraints: Adhering to contract clauses and specifications.
- Operative Schedule: Ensuring efficiency and adherence to plans.
- Client Relationship: Managing client representatives on site.
- Subcontractor Supervision: Overseeing subcontractors during installation.
- Departmental Interface: Regular reporting to various company departments.
Tasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, purchasing with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian.
- Support the preparation of installation documentation for the project execution
- Support the subcontractor selection, starting from the preparation of specification to be used as technical documents in the request for quotation.
- Interact with project Clients, mainly on technical, planning, operative aspects, in conference telecommunications or direct meetings
- Prepare As-built documentation during project completion phasemainly gathering all reports, records, certificates, quality documents, etc issued throughout the project execution from all operative sites.
- Fluent in English
- Degree in Engineering
- Up to 2/5 years of experience in role involved in installation of submarine cable but more in general in the construction industry.
- Availability to spend long periods abroad offshore (approx. 60-70% per year).
- Leadership attitude.
- Good communication skills and relationship approach with Clients and subcontractors.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with attitude to manage properly priorities in coordination with Management.
- Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.
- Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset.
