We're seeking a Principal or Associate Marine & Coastal Engineer with deep expertise in structural or geotechnical design to join our team in Ireland. You'll lead the charge on complex public and private projects while enjoying the full support of our world-class multidisciplinary team.

Position
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Structural or Geotechnical Design
• Direct technical design from concept to construction
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards (BS 6349, Eurocodes), and project specs
Project Management & Delivery
• Manage multiple marine/coastal projects, timelines, and budgets
• Deliver creative, buildable solutions with precision and impact
Technical Leadership
• Apply advanced design knowledge to ports, harbours, breakwaters, and marine infrastructure
• Drive innovation through integration with modelling, hydraulics, ecology, and dredging teams
Mentorship & Collaboration
• Guide and develop junior engineers
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, marine, and environmental engineering
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, councils, and contractors
• Translate complex requirements into expert technical strategies
Requirements
What You Bring
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 8+ years' experience in marine/coastal engineering or design consultancy
Skills & Knowledge:
• Proven experience in marine structures, coastal processes, and geotechnical design
• Familiar with BS 6349, Eurocodes, and marine design guidance
• Strong track record delivering multi-disciplinary coastal infrastructure projects
• Confident communicator and experienced report writer
• Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing technical team
• Sharp project delivery, time management, and commercial skills
