Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing, siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance and environmental oversight of marine, coastal, geotechnical, and structural projects;
- Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
- Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
- Overseeing waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects;
- Overseeing design and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management;
- Overseeing the preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
- At least 10 years of related experience overseeing coastal, marine, geotechnical, and structural engineering projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience in managing permitting, planning, compliance and oversight of coastal projects. (required)
- Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Experience with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (required)
